Overview

The Iclif-Ross Business Leadership Program closes the critical skills and knowledge gaps between leading a function and leading cross-functionally. Specifically, participants will be able to:

  • Adopt a bigger picture perspective
  • Shift from executor to strategist, move from expert to leader
  • Navigate the larger organization – politics, processes, and people

The expert faculty of The Iclif Leadership and Governance Centre joins leading academics from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, one of the Top 5 executive education business schools in the world. Jointly, the two faculty teams from East and West apply globally-proven best practices in leadership and management that actually work in the Asian context: no translation required.

We help functional heads with ambitions to be senior executives untangle the complexity of the larger organization: how the functions work and how they need to fit together, how the financials drive decisions, how marketing can more strongly execute on strategy, how leadership inspires and, ultimately, how culture determines success.

Program Overview

When an individual makes the important step from leading a function to leading cross-functionally, his or her focus shifts from the tactical to the strategic, from running a specific piece of the business to actively engaging across the enterprise. Success in this new role requires gaining enterprise-wide support by combining keen business acumen with finely-tuned leadership ability.

This intensive, 5 ½ day program is a highly interactive process of exchanging new ideas, state-of-the-art concepts and best practices with faculty and peers from a variety of other companies, organisations and countries. Class discussion, small-group projects and case analyses are key components of the program. Participants are provided with new, highly practical strategic tools and frameworks.
